History[]
WTZY signed on in the mid-90s with a talk radio format, the first Asheville station to air Rush Limbaugh. When the station's talk programming was moved to WWNC, the station, WTZY, was purchased by Clear Channel Communications, Inc. and became WPEK "The Peak", a classic country station. Later, the format was adult standards.
